Vijayawada : Call for Stir for Classical Language status

VIJAYAWADA: Several speakers at a meeting organised by Potti Sriramulu Telugu University and Siddhartha Kalapeetham here on Tuesday, called upon Telugu people to launch an agitation to achieve classical status to Telugu. They deplored the Centre ignoring the demand of the Telugus.

Telugu University Vice-Chancellor Avula Manjulata said. Telugu people in the USA were also coming forward to join in such an agitation. She said a meeting of Telugu writers would be conducted in Hyderabad on February 20. Kalapeetham president PLN Prasad presided.
