Telugu manuscripts to be digitized

Hyderabad: With an aim to keep the literature and cultural heritage of the Telugu language alive, the state government is planning to digitize its repository of manuscripts.

“Digitalisation of the 25,000 manuscripts will start in a week’s time. We have already identified the organization to do it, after which it will be deciphered by out academic staff”, said Jayadheer Thirumala Rao, director, AP Orient Manuscript library and research institute (AP OMLRI), nodal agency of the state government in-charge of collection, preservation and publication of manuscripts.

As a part of the Andhra Pradesh Manuscripts Survey Programme, in collaboration with the National Manuscripts Mission, the state government has planned to collect details of manuscripts from across the state, which will be included in a country wide collection of manuscript data-‘manus-data’.

For this government has nominated two co-ordinators and 50 surveyors for each of 23 districts in Andhra Pradesh.

ప్రాచీన రాతప్రతుల కంప్యూటరీకరణ

(ఆన్‌లైన్‌ సిటీబ్యూరో)హైదరాబాద్‌, ఫిబ్రవరి 7 : ఎనిమి ది శతాబ్దాల నాటి రాతప్రతులను కంప్యూటరీకరించే బృహత్తర కార్యక్ర మానికి రాష్ట్ర ప్రాచీన రాతప్రతుల గ్రంథాలయం శ్రీకారం చుట్టింది. దీనితో పాటు అరుదైన తాళపత్రాల ను, రాతప్రతులను సేకరించే కార్యక్ర మాన్ని కూడా చేపట్టింది. ఈనెల 20 నుంచి 24వ తేదీ వరకు రాష్ట్రంలో దాదాపు 1100 మందితో సర్వే చేపట్టి ఇప్పటివరకు వెలుగులోకి రాని రాత ప్రతులను సేకరించనున్నట్టు గ్రంథా లయం డైరెక్టర్‌ జయధీర్‌ తిరుమల రావు తెలిపారు. ప్రస్తుతం రెండున్నర లక్షల పేజీలను కంప్యూటరీకరిస్తు న్నామన్నారు. జాతీయ రాతప్రతుల సంశోధన సంస్థ దేశవ్యాప్తంగా ఉన్న ప్రాచీన రాతప్రతులను సేకరించే కా ర్యక్రమాన్ని 2003 ఫిబ్రవరిలో ప్రా రంభించిందన్నారు. తమ గ్రంథా లయంలో ప్రస్తుతం 16 భాషలకు సంబంధించిన 24వేల రాతప్రతులు ఉన్నాయని తెలిపారు.
రాతప్రతులంటే...
కనీసం 75 సంవత్సరాల చరిత్ర కలిగిన, చేతితో రాసిన ఏ పత్రాన్న యినా రాతప్రతిగా వ్యవహరిస్తారని చెప్పారు. వాటిలో సాహిత్య(పంచ తంత్రం), బొమ్మలతో కూడిన కళా త్మక(మొఘల్‌ లిఖిత ప్రతులు), కళా సంబంధ(నాట్యశాస్త్ర), వైజ్ఞానిక (ఆ యుర్వేదం), ధార్మిక (భగవద్గీత) సంబంధమైనవి ఉండవచ్చునన్నారు.
ఇలాంటి రాతప్రతులు ఎవరి దృష్టికి వచ్చినా తమ సర్వేయర్లకు తెలపాలని తిరుమలరావు కోరారు. రాతప్రతులను సమర్పించిన వ్యక్తు ల వివరాలను కూడా తాము కంప్యూట ర్లలో భద్రపరుస్తామని చెప్పారు.
