Kakinada : Poets demand Classical Language status to Telugu
KAKINADA: Noted poets of Kakinada demanded that the Government declare Telugu as an ancient language.
They called upon the literary organisations to promote the usage of Telugu in daily official transactions.
Addepalli Ramamohana Rao, Addepalli Literary Foundation secretary VSRS Somayajulu and all other poets unanimously stressed the need for using Telugu extensively.
Poets LK Sudhakar, M Surya Bhaskar, VSR Sarma alias Sirisha, KB Krishna, VV Subba Raju, PRL Swamy, Vakkalanka Ramakrishna and others took part in the meeting.

Eminent poet and critic అద్దేపల్లి రామమోహన రావు (Addepalli Ramamohana Rao) released a book on 'Haikus' namely వెన్నెల వాన (Vennela Vana) scripted by Rayanapadu Town Railway Station (Krishna District) manager and also a haiku poet T Devadas at function held at SMS Rotary Hall on Monday night.
