Telugu varsity announces Dharmanidhi awards

Winners to receive cash prize of Rs. 1,116

HYDERABAD: Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University has selected 26 prominent persons drawn from different fields for its Dharmanidhi Award-2005.

In a statement issued here on Saturday, university officials said the winners would receive a cash prize of Rs. 1,116 apart from the award.

Following are the award winners: S. Munisundaram (literature), P.V. Parabrahma Sastry (research), Nandagiri Indira Devi (humour writing), G. Venkat Ram Rao (biography), Ch. Tulasi (best writer), Swarajya Lakshmi (theatre), K.S.T. Sai (acting), S. Taraka Rama Rao (best play writer), I. Muralidhar (rationalist), T. Sudha Devi (writer), Ch. Prasad (poetry), P. Koteswara Rao (acting), B. Venkatratnam (writer), T. Sri Hari Sharma (avadhanam), Kasturi Bai (women's issues), R. S. Sastry (library), A.V.S.
