తెలుగుకు ప్రాచీన హోదా కోసం

తెలుగు భాషకు ప్రాచీన హోదా కల్పించేలా కేంద్రంపై ఒత్తిడి తేవడానికి రాజకీయ ప్రయత్నాలు జరగాలని కేంద్ర బొగ్గుగనుల శాఖ మంత్రి దాసరి నారాయణరావు అభిప్రాయపడ్డారు. తమిళ భాషకు ఆ హోదా కల్పించేందుకు ఆ రాష్ట్ర మంత్రులు కీలక పాత్ర పోషించారని, కానీ తెలుగు విషయంలో మాత్రం తనతో సహా 'తెలుగు మంత్రులు' మిన్నకుండిపోయారన్నారని అంగీకరించారు. ఆదివారం ఇక్కడి తెలుగు విశ్వవిద్యాలయంలో భాషాభిమానుల సదస్సు జరిగింది. ఈ సదస్సులో దాసరి ఉద్వేగంగా మాట్లాడారు. తెలుగుకు ప్రాచీన భాష హోదా కల్పించే విషయంలో అవసరమైతే పదవులకు రాజీనామా చేయడానికి కూడా తాను సిద్ధమేనని ప్రకటించారు. ఇందుకోసం తానూ కృషిచేస్తానని కాంగ్రెస్‌ ఎంపీ విఠల్‌రావు అన్నారు. కన్నడిగులు, మలయాళీలతో కలిసి కేంద్రంపై ఒత్తిడి తేవాలని, వెయ్యేళ్ల చరిత్ర ఉన్న భాషల్ని ప్రాచీన భాషలుగా గుర్తించేలా చేయాలని కాంగ్రెస్‌ ఎమ్మెల్యే మండలి బుద్ధప్రసాద్‌ అన్నారు. కేంద్ర మంత్రి జైపాల్‌రెడ్డి దృష్టికి ఈ విషయం తీసుకెళ్లినా ప్రయోజనం లేకపోయిందన్నారు. 1500 సంవత్సరాల చరిత్ర ఉండాలని విధించిన నిబంధన వల్ల మనకు నష్టమా అని అడిగారన్నారు. తెలుగుకు ప్రాచీన భాషగా గుర్తింపు నివ్వడానికి వీలుగా కేంద్రంపై ఒత్తిడి తేవడానికి తమ పార్టీ సహకరిస్తుందని తెదేపా నాయకుడు టి.దేవేందర్‌గౌడ్‌ అన్నారు. తెలుగు భాషకు ప్రాచీన హోదా కోసం చేపట్టే ఉద్యమానికి పూర్తి మద్దతునిస్తామని సీపీఎం నేత వై.వెంకటేశ్వరరావు అన్నారు.

Telugu University is conducting a conference on 8th of this month to bring on pressure to Central Government to recognize Telugu as an ancient language. The Minister for Coals and Mines, Dasari Narayana Rao is participating in the meeting as the Chief Guest along with Pinnamaneni Venkateswara Rao, the Minister of Higher Education.

The privilege of recognizing a language as ancient is given to Tamil stating that it has te history of about 6000 years. But Telugu is being considered to be the language that was born in 1100 AD. But Nannaya penned Mahabharatha in Telugu in metrical verses at the same time which implies that the language got completely developed by his period. A few researches were also made in this connection those prove Telugus as the language originated from a mixture of Sanskrit and Piasachi languages many thousand years ago.

However, pressure is going to be brought to consider Telugu as ancient language in these considerations.
