Presidential Award for 'Madhura'

Eminent scholar had researched and translated number of Sanskrit volumes into Telugu

Rajahmundry: మధుర కృష్ణమూర్తి శాస్త్రీ గారు ( Mr. Madhura Krishnamurthy Sastry ) , popular Sanskrit scholar has received the prestigious President of India Award for his 70 years of industrious research work on Sanskrit. Hailing from this town, he had translated the 1,100-year old commentary on సూర్య సిద్ధాంతం (Surya Sidhantham) into Telugu with his own handwriting and the 500-year old ఆంగిక భాస్కరం (Aangika Bhaskaram) and దైవగ్న విలాసం ( Daivagna Vilasam ). The Rastriya Sanskrit Research Centre, Tirupati is giving support to his works, publishing, and digitalising the same.
