State neglecting Telugu
ANANTAPUR: State president of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) N. Indrasena Reddy has alleged that the State Government has been neglecting Telugu language and its proposal to remove Telugu as a subject from residential schools and colleges is an ample indication.
Talking to mediapersons here on Friday, he said neighbouring States like Tamil Nadu and Karnataka were, in fact, de-recognising schools which had no native language as a subject. Instead of encouraging our native language the State Government was bent upon neglecting Telugu, he alleged.
He also termed TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao's comments on `Telugu Talli' as shameful and sought to know which language he would speak at home.
