Andhra night at Bangalore IT.in 2005
The annual IT event, ‘Bangalore IT.in 2005’ to be held from October 26 to October 29 at Bangalore, will have an ‘Andhra night’, which will showcase the IT potential of Andhra Pradesh.
Besides holding Andhra-specific programmes during the four-day IT event, the organisers have also invited state chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy as the guest of honour for the inauguration.
Disclosing the details of the event at a curtain-raiser meeting held here on Wednesday, M K Shankaralinge Gouda, secretary for IT &BT, Karnataka government, said, “There is an equity and growth potential for all in the IT sector.”
He invited the information technology department officials of the Andhra Pradesh government along with the state IT companies.
He said that the competitor states and IT companies outside Karnataka could also gain in terms of business by participating in the event via networking as scores of MNCs and foreign delegations are expected to take part in the fair.
Attracting the venture capitalists, who are expected to turn up in good numbers, is one such opportunity offered by the event, Gouda said. C S Rao, advisor to the Andhra Pradesh government, and K Ratna Prabha, state secretary, IT&C department, also participated in the meet.
