Separate cell for Telugus in Singapore

HYDERABAD: The Singapore Government has expressed intentions to create a separate cell for the welfare of Telugu people living in the country.

Singapore President N.R. Nathan, who hosted lunch for the delegation from the State headed by Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy setting aside the protocol, conveyed this proposal. Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong hosted breakfast for the Chief Minister and his entourage.

Though it has been a tradition to host breakfast or lunch for the heads of other countries, the Singapore President and Prime Minister set the customary protocols aside for the delegation from the State, according to an official release.
