NEW DELHI: Microsoft Corporation India today announced the launch of its office application software tool Microsoft Office in Telugu.
The launch was a part of the "Rajiv Gandhi Internet Village Application" programme inaugurated by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, a Microsoft statement said.
The programme is aimed at providing integrated online services in villages, such as enrolment of weather insurance, electricity bill payment and updation of land records. Microsoft Office Telugu, launched under Microsoft's Project Bhasha, is available in two editions - Office Telugu Professional and Office Telugu Standard, the statement said.
The project Bhasha, launched in September 2003, is a programme focussed at providing local language interfaces in 14 Indian languages, it said.
