HYDERABAD, JUNE 23: The Andhra Pradesh government has proposed to target Telugu speaking non-resident Indians to attract industrial investment into the state. The government has proposed to organise meetings in the US during the Telugu Association of North America (TANA) annual meeting being held in Detroit from July 1 to 3, 2005. Also, the delegation will meet prospective investors including the heads of Intel, Newlight Design Center, Solectron and Cypress, who have evinced interest in setting up manufacturing facilities in AP, an official release said.
The delegation headed by AP Speaker K R Suresh Reddy is visiting the US during the TANA meetings. “We want to utilise the opportunity and plan to show-case the business opportunities and government incentives to the NRIs there,” sources said.
