Computer training in Telugu
Rajahmundry: Avishkar Rural Tribal and Handicrafts Development Organization (ARTH), an NGO working for women empowerment, is all set to impart computer training in Telugu and English for urban lower middle class women as its future project.
Speaking at the valedictory of the six-day training programme, Rita Kumar, president of Pragati Women's Club said that there was craze for creative articles in domestic as well as in the international market.
She said that organisations like ARTH should extend its activities to major towns.
K. Vanaja Rao, regional director of the project, said that some 15 women from Kakinada, Palakollu, Tanuku, Eluru and Rajahmundry were trained in glass, sari and pot painting, lamination and other arts. She said they were planning to introduce more arts like cellphone stands making, photo frames and greeting cards.
Useful tips
Ravichandra Rao, adviser to ARTH, trained the women and also gave tips in personality development.
