Telugu Academy awards for Inter students

HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Telugu Academy will present awards to students who have completed their Intermediate education in Telugu medium in the academic year 2005-07.

The awards carrying a cash prize of Rs. 4,000 and Rs. 3,000 along with a certification and a memento will be presented to students have secured the first two ranks in M.P.C, Bi.P.C, M.E.C, C.E.C and H.E.C.

Higher Education Minister D. Srinivas will present the awards at a function being organised by the Telugu Academy at its premises on November 21.

The awards will also be given to toppers in English and Telugu medium courses who have opted for Telugu as their second language. Gold medals will be presented to students who have topped in the introductory and higher level courses launched by the Telugu Academy.

As part of efforts to promote Telugu language, the Telugu Academy has been presenting the awards for the past six years, according to a press release.
