Nizamabad, Nellore best in Telugu implementation

HYDERABAD: Nizamabad and Nellore district administrations were adjudged best in the implementation of Telugu as official language by the State Official Language Commission. Nizamabad Collector B. Ramanjaneyulu and Information and PR Minister Anam Ramnarayan Reddy, who represents Nellore, received the awards at a function organised on Wednesday by the commission to mark the 144th anniversary of Gidugu Ramamurthy Panthulu.

Commission praised

Addressing the function, the Minister praised the efforts of the commission to promote Telugu as a functional language in all Government offices and other public fora. Commission chairman A.B.K. Prasad said the panel would expand its programmes. The Minister released a book titled తెలుగు జాతి భాష ప్రాచీనతకు తిరుగులేని వెలుగులు - ఈ నానెలు (Telugujati bhasha pracheenataku tiruguleni velugulu – ee nanelu) written by Deme Raja Reddy.
