AP Official Language Commission recommendations



Summary of main recommendations put forward by the Andhra Pradesh Official Language Commission on May 16th 2005 in Hyderabad.:-

  • Teaching in Telugu medium should be made compulsary in all educational institutions till SSC level
  • Weightage to Telugu medium students in employment opportunities
  • A resolution in the Assembly to make Telugu the second language at the National Level
  • Telugu should be declared a 'Classical Language'
  • Telugu should be accorded the second language status in Tamil Nadu
  • All government orders, memos, drafts and circulars should be Telugu only

  1. hi Pals, the resolutions are good only if Andhra is a country by itself. dont be so mean and close all your doors confining to Telugu. come out of Andhra, with the growing population how many jobs can govt. Provide. make Telugu as second language and English as Primary and to provide job scope outside our state and India. for eg: take Tamil Nadu, people cant speak Hindi and thus they cant survive as we do, cos we are equi[ped with Hindi. thus try to increase the scope in the global market dont confine yourself. we are not the only people on earth - think WIDE
