Call for Classical Status to Telugu
HYDERABAD: The two-day conference organised by the Central Institute of Indian Languages, Mysore, on March 28 and 29 to discuss the issue of classical language status to Telugu felt that it was imperative that both Telugu and Kannada be given the status.
A.B.K.Prasad, Chairman, Official Language Commission said in a press release that the conference had adopted a resolution to that effect as the two languages had a history of 1,000 years.
